Waverly Middle School December 15th Delay 12/15/2004 Eaton County Sheriff Investigated a Break-in at Waverly Middle School. Students Returned to Middle School at 10:00 AM
Custodians discovered a break-in at the Waverly Middle School when opening the building on Wednesday morning December 15th. The custodian contacted the Eaton County Sheriff-Delta Patrol and district administration.
The sheriff responded and secured the building. District administration made the decision to transport students to the Waverly High School auditorium, and to ask parents to drop students off at the high school. Notices were sent out to parents via the district's web site, cable Channel 21, e-mail, and through commercial radio and television notification.
Students were at all times supervised by middle school administration and staff.
Students were returned to the Middle School by bus starting at 10:00 AM.
