Board of Education Approves Candidates for Two Elementary
Principal Positions and the Curriculum Director Position
The Waverly Board of Education approved Vickie Tisdale and RaShawnda Talifarro as elementary principals at the March 14th Board of Education meeting. Dorothy Blackwell was approved for the Director of Curriculum position at the same meeting. All three positions are effective July 1, 2005.
Vickie Tisdale is currently the Assistant Principal at Waverly High School. She has been the Assistant Principal at Waverly High School for .ve years. Ms. Tisdale will be Principal at Windemere View Elementary School.
RaShawnda Talifarro is currently an elementary principal in the Flint Public Schools. She moves to Waverly with four years experience as an elementary principal, and three years as an assistant elementary principal. Ms. Talifarro will be Principal at Winans Elementary School.
Dorothy Blackwell is currently the Principal at Winans Elementary School. She has been the Principal at Winans for four years. She will be the Director of Curriculum and a member of the Superintendent's Cabinet. Ms. Blackwell's responsibilities include K-12 curriculum, instruction, and assessment. |
