The Waverly Band program is proud to welcome MSU Assistant professor of Jazz Trumpet, Derrick Gardner as the featured Soloist at their annual Jazz Night. This concert features both the High School and Middle School Jazz Bands.
A Grammy Award winning Artist, Professor Gardner has performed with such artists as The Harry Connick Jr. Big Band, The Count Basie Orchestra, Dizzy Gillespie, and Clark Terry, to name a few.
Help celebrate Jazz in our Schools Month with the Waverly Jazz Bands on April 19. This concert is generously being sponsored by The Conn-Selmer Company and the Waverly Band Boosters and therefore is FREE to the public.
