High School After School Tutoring Program 02/29/2008
Dear Waverly High School Parents:
Waverly High School is very excited to formally announce their “After School Tutoring Program”. The after school tutoring program is aimed at providing core subject area remediation as well as academic enrichment opportunities for Waverly High School students. Support will be provided in the four (4) core areas which include Mathematics, English, Science and Social Studies.
Staffing the tutoring program will be Waverly High School teachers, interns and a number of students representing Waverly High School National Honor Society. Tutoring services will be provided two (2) days a week (Tuesday & Thursday) from 2:45 p.m. – 3:45 p.m., in the cafeteria. The tutoring set-up will include each core content area occupying a corner of the cafeteria. The first tutoring session will begin on Tuesday, March 4, 2008.
Because of the value and importance of providing Waverly High School students with academic support, the tutoring program will be a business like, no nonsense atmosphere. If you determine the need for after school tutoring exists, please encourage your son/daughter to attend this program. The cafeteria staff will provide snacks for students to purchase during these after school tutoring sessions.

What Time: (2: 45 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.)

Starting When: (Tuesday, March 4, 2008)
