Community & Business Volunteers Needed 03/15/2005 Waverly Continues Strategic Planning with April 28 & 29 Periodic Update
Waverly is looking for volunteers to address the needs of our students and community through participation on our Strategic Planning Periodic Review Team. Volunteers are needed by March 31, 2005.
The Periodic Review is a way for the district's planning efforts to adjust to the world today and provide a plan for Waverly's future. Planning teams are designed to include a wide and representative scope of the community, but they are limited to thirty participants. Every effort will be made to include all that apply, but final decisions on participation will be focused on having voices on the team from the many interests across Waverly.
Qualifications:
- Waverly resident or parent
- or Waverly business owner
- or Waverly staff member
- willing to spend Thursday, April 28th (8:00 AM - 10:00 PM) & Friday, April 29th (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM), and a day in February 2006 to work on the future of Waverly.
- from any walk of life
- primary qualification is that you care about the future of Waverly

Starting in 1994 the district began the strategic planning process. On August 14, 1995 the district's first Strategic Plan was adopted by the Board of Education. As a result of the 2001-2002 Thorough Review of the Strategic Plan, the Board of Education adopted the 2002-2007 Strategic Plan on March 11, 2002. The Strategic Plan is posted on the district's web site at www.waverly.k12.mi.us.
