Waverly Alum, Cortney Scott to play in NCAA b-ball tourney

Cortney Scott, a 2000 graduate of Waverly High School will be playing in the upcoming Men's NCAA Basketball Tournament.  Cortney is a senior on the Oakland University basketball team where he is averaging 17.9 points per game and 7.3 rebounds per game.

This will be the second time Cortney will be playing the the tournament.  In 2001, he was a member of the Iowa Hawkeyes who played in the tournament that year.

Cortney is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Human Resources at Oakland University.

In 2000, Cortney was a member of the Waverly Warriors Class A State Championship basketball team.
