Kim Jones "Make It Happen" Scholarship 03/03/2005
To Waverly High School Seniors:
The Kim Jones Make It Happen Foundation proudly presents scholarships in recognition of the exemplary volunteer leadership of Kimberly S. Jones. In 1990, Kimberly graduated from Waverly Community Schools and during her high school career, she donated her skills and talents to make the heart of our community one great place to live, work and play. In the spirit of her accomplishments and her commitment to volunteer service, the Foundation is pledging two $1,000 scholarships this year to benefit two Waverly High School Seniors' future education at an accredited college, university or trade school.
The Kim Jones Make It Happen Foundation is seeking scholarship applications from Waverly Seniors that have demonstrated a commitment to improving our community by volunteering their time, talents and skills throughout their high school career and intends to carry on the tradition of service into their college career and adult life. The Foundation requests that applicants for the scholarship have a minimum of a 2.0 accumulative GPA, however, the primary focus of the scholarship is not based on academic merit, but rather on a commitment to serve the community through large and small acts of kindness and generosity through volunteer service.
Please note the deadline for applications is April 15, 2005.
The application is availble as a PDF file here.
Thank you for your interest in this great opportunity and best wishes for your future success.
Sincerely,
Calvin L. and Gloria Jones
