Winans Elementary Read-A-Thon for UNICEF a Big Success 02/08/2005 Barb Knighton from Winans Elementary School reported the Read-a-thon for UNICEF was a great success and involved families, businesses, friends and community members. Approximately 110 businesses, families and individuals pledged; 40 students attended the Read-a-thon at school; 217 students read and returned a book sheet, 1,588 books were read; for a total amount raised of $2,695.63. A big thank you to all who were involved for making this Read-a-thon for UNICEF a rewarding fundraiser. |
