School of Choice application

n The deadline for submitting Schools of Choice applications is 4:00 p.m., Thursday, January 13, 2005, at the Administration Building, 515 Snow Rd., Lansing, 48917.

n Students must reside in an intermediate school district that is contiguous with Ingham Intermediate School District (i.e. Eaton Rapids, Grand Ledge and Potterville School Districts).

n Nonresident applicants who attended Waverly Community Schools during the Fall of 2004-2005 school year will receive preference for openings.  All other applicants will have equal opportunity for openings, regardless of the order in which applications are received.  If the number of applicants exceed the numbers of openings, the district will select students by random drawing.

n Notification of Schools of Choice status and enrollment procedures will be mailed by Friday, January 14, 2005.

n Waverly Community Schools may refuse to enroll a nonresident applicant. If the applicant is, or has been within the preceding two years, suspended, or if the applicant has ever been expelled.

n Acceptance under the Schools of Choice option allows a student to attend Waverly Community Schools until graduation.
