The Colt Student Council has decided to sponsor a Liberian refugee family from Lansing whose house caught on fire at the beginning of January. All of their Christmas gifts were destroyed in the fire. We are collecting money to purchase kitchen supplies for the family. With the money, we are hoping to buy silverware, plates, glasses, cups, and other utensils that are needed for their kitchen. At the end of January they will be moving into a different house and will need items to supply their kitchen. We collected $136.00 so far and will continue to collect money until January 24.
