For the 2004-2005 School Year, the following is what MEAP testing consisted of for students in Waverly and across the State of Michigan.  Commencing in 2002-2003 a new English Language Arts (ELA) Test was administered which combined Reading and Writing, as well as an ‘optional’ Listening test; the same ELA testing was administered in 2004-2005.

MEAP testing took place in January and February and included:

Gr. 4: English Language Arts, Math

Gr. 5: Science, Social Studies

Gr. 7:  English Language Arts

Gr. 8:  Math, Science

Specific information on trends over the past year were reviewed and distributed at the board meeting.  Director Blackwell answered questions about the data and shared what is being done to improve our assessment results and narrow identified performance gaps.
