Middle School Girls' Basketball Information 12/08/2011 AGES: We will have both a 7th and 8th grade girls' team. In the event that we have enough players, we will have an "A" team and a "B" team. Coaches will select the players for all teams.
WHEN: There will be an Open Gym time on Tuesday, January 3rd after school for those interested in playing. Tryouts will be Wednesday, January 4th and Thursday, January 5th after school. Practice times will be determined by each coach. The season begins the week of January 18th and ends the week of February 22nd.
WHERE: All practices will be held at the middle school with the times to be determined by the coaches. The teams will play in the MMMSL League with games both at Waverly Middle School and at other competing schools in the league. The school will provide bussing to the away games for players and coaches.
COST: $85 per player payable to the YMCA (Cost includes a shooting shirt). Registration fees are due immediately after tryouts for those players who are chosen for the team. All fees must be paid prior to the first game in order for a player to participate.
ADDITIONAL INFO: All players are responsible for getting sports physicals to participate. Physicals must be turned in BEFORE students may tryout. NO EXCEPTIONS. There are physical forms available in the MS Office and the High School Athletic Office.
