At the October 25, 2011 Delta-Waverly Rotary Club luncheon, Ryan Mazurek, a Waverly High School senior, was recognized as the Delta-Waverly Rotary Club Student of the Month. Ryan’s parents, Ann and Greg Mazurek, also attended the luncheon as guests.

Ryan was presented with a certificate by Mary Stucko, President of the Delta-Waverly Rotary Club. Waverly Superintendent Dr. Debra Jones also attended the luncheon in support of Ryan and his recognition. Ryan spoke to the Rotary Club members about his accomplishments and plans for the future. Ryan commented, "I am honored and grateful for this award and it means that I am doing the right things."

Ryan carries a 3.9 GPA. He has played on the varsity baseball team, varsity football team, and is a member of the National Honor Society. Ryan is currently being recruited to play college football and he wants to study civil or mechanical engineering.
