A "Budget Teach In" will be held in the Waverly High School Auditorium on April 19, 2011 starting at 7:00 p.m. Waverly High School is located at 160 Snow Road, Lansing, 48917.

This event is a community forum to inform the public on the numbers behind Governor Snyder’s budget and tax proposal and its affect on state and local services.

Peter Spadafore, Assistant Director of Government Relations for the Michigan Association of School Boards, will discuss the Governor’s budget impact on Michigan public schools and the Waverly Community School district specifically.

Eric Schneidewind, President of the Michigan Chapter of the AARP will speak in regards to the financial impact on senior citizens in Michigan.
