Waverly Board Of Education Fills Vacancy 01/26/2011
The Waverly Board of Education appointed Edith Suttles on January 25, 2011 to fill a trustee position on the board due to the recent resignation of Mike Knaggs. Nine candidates applied for this opening.

Mrs. Suttles retired from the Waverly Board of Education in June, 2009 after serving 20 years on the Board. During that time, she served as the Board president from 2002-2006, and also held the offices of vice president, secretary, treasurer, and vice secretary-treasurer.
Mrs. Suttles will serve on the board in this position until Dec 31, 2011. A board election will be held in November 2011 for someone to fill the remaining two years of Mr. Knaggs’ term. This person’s two year term will begin in January 2012.
Waverly Board of Education president, John Broughton, comments " I am pleased to have Mrs. Suttles back on the Board. We need her expertise, experience and history of the district during this critical decision-making time. With Edith, there will be no learning curve. She will join the Board ready to go."
