Waverly Alumni Association

The Waverly Alumni Association was formed in 1999 under Board of Education Policy no. 1233. "The Board of Education believes that maintaining a relationship with its graduates, families, and friends of the district, helps to maintain a sense of history and tradition that creates pride in the school district."

The focus of the Association is on the implementation of the alumni scholarships for graduating Waverly seniors. Funds for this activity are raised through solicitation of donations and sales of Waverly Wear.

The Alumni Association Board has defined the following five core areas:

• Membership package
• Membership drive
• Reunion support
• Web site
• Fund raising, and
• Service projects.

The Alumni Board wants to place special emphasis on membership in terms of increasing
the numbers of members and in providing the connection to Waverly.
